Homelessness Community Action Grant –
NIMA is continuing our work on building housing data and resources for Métis living on northern Vancouver Island. Using what we learned from the housing surveys we completed in 2022-2023, we will hire a Housing Navigator to better equip Métis families to find affordable and available housing. Our initiative will help to improve the financial literacy of our Métis community members. It will give us the opportunity to provide a wide array of community resources, financial knowledge and information around the rights and responsibilities as a renter.

NIMA will create a
Métis violence prevention program to be delivered to all ages and genders. Some of the work we will do is in schools with youth, and at larger community events, such as our Summer Campouts.
