Classroom Cultural Presentations
NIMA staff are available to go into classrooms to offer presentations within our community.
Mamawi
This is our monthly women and ​2SLGBTQQIA+ cultural group.
Wild Womxn
This group encompasses self-defense and matriarch revitalization.
Piihtikway
​This is our monthly culture night for all NIMA members that takes place the third Friday of every month.
Lispaas
Drop-in hours at NIMA to work on projects.

​North Island Métis is a registered non-profit organization. We were founded in November 1996 to represent the interests of Métis people residing in northern Vancouver Island, from Black Creek to Cape Scott. NIMA is a chartered community of the Métis Nation of British Columbia.

North Island Métis operates on the traditional territories of the Kwakwaka’wakw and Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations. Our office is located on the traditional territories of
the Liǧʷiɫdax̌w First Nations.
