Piihtikway

NIMA holds a monthly drop-in cultural night, Piihtikway (pronounced PEE-tik-quay), the last Tuesday of every month. Members can come to work on projects, or learn something new.  Join us from 6:00-8:00 in the conference room at Robron for tea, snacks and lots of laughs!

Children are welcome to attend with an adult, but no childminding is provided at this time.

​North Island Métis is a registered non-profit organization. We were founded in November 1996 to represent the interests of Métis people residing in northern Vancouver Island, from Black Creek to Cape Scott. NIMA is a chartered community of the Métis Nation of British Columbia.

North Island Métis operates on the traditional territories of the Kwakwaka’wakw and Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations. Our office is located on the traditional territories of the Ligwilda'xw First Nations - We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum, Walitsima/Kahkahmatsis, and Kwiakah.
