North Island Métis

Gender Based Violence

NIMA is strengthening its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence against Métis women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people by adopting GBA Plus to review, develop and implement policies and procedures, to develop and implement an anti-violence procedures manual, and to build networks and partnerships. We work collaboratively with Métis women, 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, Elders, and community members through ongoing feedback we collect at NIMA events.
